Last updated: March 17, 2026
1. Introduction
The Legends of the Gulf T20 ("LOG-T20") is committed to fostering a culture of respect, sportsmanship, and professionalism. This Code of Conduct ("Code") sets forth the standards of behavior expected of all players, team officials, franchise owners, match officials, league staff, spectators, and any other individuals associated with the LOG-T20 league (collectively, "Participants"). This Code is established in alignment with the values of the Saudi Arabian Cricket Federation (SACF) and the broader principles of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030.
2. Spirit of Cricket
All Participants shall uphold the Spirit of Cricket at all times. The sport of cricket has long been regarded as a game that owes much of its appeal to the fact that it should be played not only within its laws but also within the Spirit of the Game. Participants are expected to compete fairly, accept the umpire's decisions gracefully, and treat opponents, officials, and spectators with respect and courtesy.
3. On-Field Conduct
Players and team officials shall:
- Play within the Laws of Cricket as established by the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) and any supplementary regulations of the LOG-T20
- Accept the decisions of umpires and match referees without dissent, excessive appealing, or intimidation
- Refrain from using abusive, offensive, or discriminatory language or gestures
- Avoid any conduct that brings the game, the league, or the GCC into disrepute
- Refrain from deliberate time-wasting, ball-tampering, or any form of cheating
- Treat all opponents with respect, regardless of nationality, race, religion, or background
4. Off-Field Conduct
All Participants shall:
- Conduct themselves in a manner that reflects positively on the LOG-T20, the SACF, and the sport of cricket
- Respect the laws, customs, and cultural sensitivities of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the GCC member states
- Refrain from making public statements that are defamatory, discriminatory, or damaging to the reputation of the league, its teams, or its partners
- Use social media responsibly and avoid posting content that could be considered offensive, discriminatory, or harmful
- Comply with all applicable anti-doping regulations and submit to testing as required
5. Diversity and Inclusion
The LOG-T20 celebrates the diverse, multicultural fabric of the GCC. Discrimination or harassment based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, age, disability, or any other protected characteristic will not be tolerated. All Participants are expected to promote an inclusive environment that welcomes individuals from all backgrounds.
6. Anti-Doping
All players are subject to anti-doping regulations as established by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and the ICC Anti-Doping Code. The use, possession, or distribution of prohibited substances is strictly forbidden. Players must make themselves available for testing at any time during the season and comply with all whereabouts requirements.
7. Media and Communications
Participants shall cooperate with official media obligations, including pre-match and post-match press conferences, interviews, and promotional activities. All public communications should be conducted professionally and in a manner consistent with the values of the LOG-T20.
8. Spectator Conduct
Spectators attending LOG-T20 matches are expected to:
- Behave in a respectful and orderly manner at all times
- Refrain from using abusive, offensive, or discriminatory language
- Follow the instructions of venue security and stewards
- Not bring prohibited items into the venue, including weapons, fireworks, or illegal substances
- Respect the cultural norms and regulations of the host country
9. Disciplinary Procedures
Violations of this Code may result in disciplinary action, including warnings, fines, suspensions, bans, or other sanctions as determined by the LOG-T20 Disciplinary Committee. The severity of the sanction will be proportionate to the nature and gravity of the violation.
10. Amendments
The LOG-T20 reserves the right to amend this Code at any time. All Participants will be notified of any material changes.
